Using Find in the Tool Room Module

The Find function allows the user to search for a Tool Type or a Tool.  The Find can be used to locate a Tool Type or a Tool and quickly move to the found item.  Click on the Find button.  From the Find window, enter the first few letters / numbers of a Tool Type or Tool Description followed by an asterisk * or enter an exact Tool Type or Description into Find field.  Click on the Start button.  The Find function will locate all matching Tool Types and or Tool Description and display them in the Find Results window.  Use the asterisk as a substitute for zero or more characters. If you are looking for a Tool Type or Tool Description that you know starts with "hamm" but you cannot remember the rest of the name, type the following:  "hamm*.  This locates all records of Tool Type and Tools that begin with "hamm".  To narrow the search include as much of the Tool Type or Tool Description as possible.  The Find feature is not case sensitive – meaning a capital (T) and a lower case (t) are not distinguished from one another.

The Find Results window contains the following columns: Description, Part Number, Type, Location, and Manufacturer. Select a Tool Type or Tool from the Find Results window.   Double click with the mouse on the highlighted record or click on the Go To button, the main Tool Room Manager windows change to display the selected Tool Type or Tool.  The found record will display in the Contents window.   Click on the Close button to close the Find window.
